Caravane Earth (link) was established precisely to consider how we all live, to draw attention to the importance of art, craft, architecture, agriculture, and education, and to work towards making real, significant change. We recognise that we all need to eat, and therefore there is an agricultural aspect to the foundation. We understand that we all need shelter, so there is an architectural aspect to our work. We realise we all need to have warmth, and thus we have a textile division and are focused on the wearable aspect of these materials. Finally, we also know that we are creative creatures by our very nature, and therefore there is always an artistic aspect to our work that complements these other needs.
Caravane Earth Foundation is a foundation based in the Netherlands with a mission to seed, practice, and promote ethical entrepreneurship and wellbeing through art, craft, architecture, agriculture, and education. Caravane Earth supports craftspeople and strives to preserve the distinct material cultures of West Asia and North Africa, enhances the connectedness of the region, enables its participation in numerous intercultural dialogues, and introduces effective permaculture into its extreme climatic conditions.
